This week, we celebrate the life and legacy of Sue Cahill, who passed suddenly from this world. It is hard news to share, especially this time of year, but we take comfort knowing that she is with our Father in Heaven. I, along with so many others, am truly blessed and grateful that she was a part of our lives.
As the director and a teacher, Mrs. Cahill's career and time with St. Luke's Preschool spanned more than 20 years. The countless children and parents, whose lives she touched, will remember her as gentle, kind, loving, and motherly. To many of us, she truly was an adopted "Nana." She was an integral part in so many lives, helping to teach and shape our children's future. Most importantly, she helped prepare our children by loving them as her own and instilling in them a life-long love of learning. Her legacy is left behind as St. Luke's continues with the tradition and value of life-long love of learning, which she embraced and embodied.
From her Cat In The Hat and Mother Goose costumes, to her "Queen of England" and "worldy" trips, and so many more fond memories, we will always remember Sue Cahill with a warm smile on her face, her fun-loving spirit, and the big heart filled with love, that she was quick to share with the families and staff at St. Luke's Preschool. Thank you, Sue, for all that you have done for us. You will be missed, but we know you will watch over us from Heaven. You are not forgotten.
