St. Luke's Preschool Week In Review: January 23-25
After a long break and a very short week in the middle of the month, our students settled back into routine last week and didn't miss a beat. In addition to our weekly units, we had a special visitor on Tuesday come in and talk about our eyes and "took our pictures" with a special camera that told her how healthy our eyes were.
Our 3s spent time working on our unit of the week, learning about colds, germs and good habits to prevent spreading them. We talked about why it's important to wash our hands, and cover our mouths when we sneeze or cough.
In our 4s classes, we introduced the letter "Ff" and talked about the sound it makes and what it looks like. We also thought about words that start with the letter "f" and made paper plate frogs as our art project.
Time To Growers this week continued with the letter "Nn." We made noodles in cooking and learned about how some things can be dried and become hard, and when we put them in water, they become soft again.
Don't forget that next week is our final week for private registration. We will open registration to the public beginning February 1st. If you have any questions, or need a new form, please see Mrs. Cahill.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
