St. Luke's Preschool November News
November is a busy and exciting month! We will be talking about Indians and Pilgrims and learning about the meaning of Thanksgiving. Projects and activities will focus on the holiday, including making a costume for our own Thanksgiving feast! Parents and grandparents are invited to join us for the feast, where we will also do a special performance. Please see below in Important Dates for your child's performance date and time.
As the weather gets colder, please remember to label your child's outerwear appropriately.
PARKING LOT SAFETY: As a reminder, when getting your child out of the car in the morning and the afternoon, please have them stay by the care until you can hold your child's hand to walk them to the door. There are a lot of moving cars coming in and out of the lot and it's just too dangerous to let your child run on his/her own from the car to the entrance.
OUR APPRECIATION: As Thanksgiving draws near, we would like to let you know how thankful we are for all of your help and support! We especially appreciate moms and dads who help in our rooms each week. Kids enjoy having their own parents be the "teacher helper." Thank you, ahead, to all the Halloween party parents who have planned the parties for the children. We know the time, energy and effort that goes into these parties and we greatly appreciate it. Please know that every parent is welcome at the school parties, even if you did not sign up to help.
THANKSGIVING FEAST & PROGRAM: We will culminate the month by preparing a fruit salad and having a feast just like the Indians and Pilgrims did! Parents are invited to come and share in our feast. We're also going to sing for parents in our special costumes, which each child makes all by themselves! Each child will be assigned to bring a piece of fruit or other item for our special friendship salad. Please see Mrs. Cahill if you have any questions about what your child needs to bring. All parents are asked to come early on the date of your child's performance. Please see below in Important Dates for event details.
