St. Luke's Week In Review: Sept. 19-23
This week was all about the apple for our 3's and 4's. Projects included fun and simple desserts like easy applesauce in the 3's classes, and good old-fashioned apple twists in the 4's classes. We also talked about the color red and made apple-related art projects. A big THANK YOU to the classroom parents who helped peel apples and provided assistance with the yummy treats.
In our Time To Grow class, students practiced identifying and writing the letter "C." We baked chocolate chip cookies in cooking class and made our chefs hats.
Students in all groups were also introduced to the guitar this week as we did some singing. Mrs. Cahill talked about the different types of guitars that exist and how to treat instruments with respect. We counted the strings on her guitar and observed how each string made a different sound (high vs. low).
As we wrap this week, we'd like to remind parents of our upcoming fall fundraiser, our Parents Night Out. The event will take place on Saturday, October 1st from 5:30-8:30PM. This is open to all children ages 2-5 who are potty trained. Parents may drop your children off and enjoy an evening out. Students will have fun playing with their friends and enjoy a snack. The cost is $12/child and space is limited, so sign up with Mrs. Cahill. Families do not need to be St. Luke's Preschool families, so invite your friends and family!
Now that fall is officially upon us, we'll begin to look next week at how the season is changing and talk about the signs of autumn. We hope you enjoy the beautiful weekend weather.
