St. Luke's Week In Review: September 12-16
Our second week of school is officially done and we're looking forward to the 3rd week. We continue to have some separation anxiety, but we are seeing lots of improvement already! Though tears were shed, they were quickly replaced by happy smiles.
This week, our 3's and 4's worked on showing our school spirit. Students made handprint t-shirts, tambourines, and banners. The 3 year-olds marched in a parade around the playground. We even learned the school spirit song to the tune of the Notre Dame fight song. Be sure to ask your kids to sing it for you if they haven't already (lyrics are below in case they need a little help).
In Time To Grow, we learned about the letter "B" and made beautiful brownies. We also studied birds and took our first field trip of the year to the World Bird Sanctuary. We saw many different types of birds and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon outdoors.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend. Be sure to visit our Facebook page for some video footage of our parade from earlier this week.
