St. Luke's Jan. "Time To Grow Newsletter"
Time-to grow kids will have another busy bee month! We will continue to work on letter recognition and word formation. We will culminate the month with conferences.
REGISTRATION: January is the time to register for the 2016 school year. If you know of anyone who is looking for a preschool for their little one(s), we would appreciate any positive word of mouth or recommendations! Public registration begins in February, but we will accept early registration from friends and family referrals.
CONFERENCES: Conference days are scheduled for this month and a sign-up sheet will be posted. We are allowing 15 minutes for each conference. There will be NO REGULAR CLASSES scheduled Thursday, January 21st for TTG. We'll have tables set up in the large room available with toys, crayons and paper for children who are waiting. If conference times represent a scheduling conflict, please let us know to conference by phone or schedule another time.
NO SCHOOL: There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 18 due to Martin Luther King Day. There is also NO SCHOOL on Thursday, January 21st: Conferences only!
SNOW DAYS: As winter goes, there may be cancellations due to weather. If Parkway isclosed for snow or ice, we will also be closed. Please listen to KMOX radio or television for Parkway school district closings. Don't forget to have your child wear warm winter coats, hats and gloves as we go out unless it's freezing. They really need some fresh air, even if it's for 10 minutes.
REMINDER: We are a peanut free/nut free school. The unfortunate reality is that peanuts/nuts can pose a life-threatening risk for people with a severe allergy. Keep this in mind when you bring a snack for class and lunch bunch meals. Be sure to check labels. Thank you for your cooperation.
Happy New Year!
