St. Luke's Dec. "3's Preschool Newsletter"
We have planned many fun and exciting projects for this month! The children will also be making secret gift for Mom and Dad. Our focus will be on the meaning of Christmas and the importance of sharing and giving. The children will continue counting, learning new songs and movements, and reviewing colors they have learned.
SANTA: A special day is being set aside for each class to talk with Santa! Please keep this visit a special surprise and do not tell your children about his visit! He will read them a story and pass out a little treat.
REGISTRATION: January is registration for preschool families, siblings and church members for the 2016 school year. Applications will be sent home with the children the first week of January. January 31st will be the last day for private registration.
PUBLIC REGISTRATION: We will open our registration up to the public starting February 1st. If you know of anyone interested in our preschool, please let them know of our open registration date.
A NEW YEAR: School will be closed for Christmas vacation from Wednesday December 23rd through January 3rd. School will resume the week of January 4th (January 5th for 3s). We wish you a safe and joyful holiday season, and Happy New Year!
TUITION: If you are paying your tuition by cash, please give it directly to Sue. There are too many people in this building over the weekend that could take it out of our tuition box.
FUN FRIDAY & LUNCH BUNCH: Just a reminder that we have a lot of openings every Friday for our Fun Friday from 9:00-11:30 and Lunch Bunch from 11:30-2:00. This is open to all age groups and is only $12 per session. Sign-up is on the table in the fellowship hall.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM: TUESDAY DECEMBER 22ND
The day of our program IS NOT a regular school day. Children will come for the performance only. ALL CHILDREN will come to school at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, December 22nd. Please bring your child to the classroom 15 minutes early, and then parents are asked to wait for us in the church. The children will present a short program IN THE CHURCH SANCTUARY followed by refreshments in our Fellowship hall lasting about one hour.
If Parkway School District should close on the day of our program because of inclement weather, please wait for a call from your child's teacher letting you know if the program is canceled or rescheduled.
We ask that each family bring a plate of goodies to share after the program (e.g. cheese and crackers, chip/veg. dip, cookies, etc.).
Please understand many successful attorneys, doctors, administrators and corporate leaders stayed in their preschool classrooms and refused to come out or sing in front of a crowd for their first preschool performances. Please be understanding if your child should follow the same path. It may mean they are going to be very successful!
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ST. LUKE'S PRESCHOOL!
