St. Luke's Nov. "3's Preschool Newsetter"

November 1, 2015

November is a busy and exiciting month! The 3 year olds will be talking about the Indians and making many fun projects. Counting to 10 will continue through our many games, acitivites and songs. We will culiminate our unit with a special performance and Thanksigiving feast. Just a reminder as the weather gets colder to PLEASE label your child's coat!

SHOW AND TELL: This month, bring something your child is thankful for! Check the calendar for the date.

THANKSGIVING FEAST & PROGRAM: We will culminate the month by preparing a fruit salad and having a feast just like the Indians and Pilgrims did! Parents are invited to come and share in our feast. We are also going to sing for parents in our special costumes, which each child makes all by his or herself!

Parents are invited to come early on our special day. Morning class performance begins at 10:45 am. Program date for 3's is: Tuesday, November 24th.

Each child will be assigned to bring a piece of fruit or other item for our special friendship salad. Please talk to Sue if you are not sure what your child has been assigned.

NO SCHOOL: School will be closed Wednesday, November 25th-Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will resume our regular schedule on Monday, November 30th.

OUR APPRECIATION: As Thanksgiving draws near, we would like to let you know how thankful we are for all of your help and support! We especially appreciate moms and dads who help in our rooms each week. Kids enjoy having their own parents be the "teacher's helper." Thank you, also to all the Halloween party moms who planned a great party for the children. We know the time, energy, and effort that goes into these parties and we greatly appreciate it. Please know that every parent is welcome at the school parties, even if you did not sign up to help!

PARKING LOT SAFETY: When getting your child out of the car in the morning and the afternoon, please have them stay by the car until you can hold your child's hand to walk them to the door. There are a lot of moving cars coming into the parking lot at diifferent times and it's just too dangerous to let your child run on his/her own from the car to the entrance. Your child's safety is important to us!

Gobble, gobble and Happy Thanksgiving!

Sue, St. Luke's Preschool Director
